About the Show:

A small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables (based on The Gospel according to St. Matthew) by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life. A masterful retelling of the original sensation injected with contemporary references and dazzling new arrangements! Rated PG.

Critic's Corner

"Godspell is one of the most ubiquitous properties in theater history,"
Theatremania.com
"Lacking cynicism, it reflects a time when idealistic young people could romp around a stage singing about love and peace…and win converts. Now in its first Broadway revival, “Godspell” turns out to be a 40-year-old show that’s irresistible."
NY1
"That’s where the revival of Godspell has just opened, unleashing with its reappearance a tidal wave of good feelings that just might engulf the Financial District ... letting it sweep you away is one of the strongest feel-good experiences you’re likely to have in the New York theatre this fall."
