THEATRE CAMPS AND CLASSES
New Class 'Encounter the Stage'
- Tuesday, April 2, Thursday, April 4, Thursday, May 2nd:
- Grades 3-12 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
- Tuesday, April 9, 16, 23, 30, and Thursday, April 11, 18, 25:
- Grades 3-7 from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm,
- Grades 8-12 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
- Friday, April 26, and Wednesday, May 1: Supervised Studio Time – Technical Work.
- Grades 8-12 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. (Grades 3-7 possible on a case-by-case basis).
- Friday, May 3: Dress Rehearsal from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm; Pizza Party at 5:30 pm ($5 per student); Showcase at 6:30 pm.
The Cost:
- Tuition is $125
- Each student will receive two complimentary tickets for the showcase.
- Additional showcase tickets are $5 per person.
Led By Ericka Concklin: Raised locally, Ericka knows all about being raised in ‘the barn’ and has a 6-year professional career here. With her BA in Theatre (a triple emphasis in acting, directing, and technical theatre) from Messiah University and her MA in Performance Making from The University of London (Goldsmith’s College), she has been working with the Millbrook Playhouse Youth Ensemble since 2022 and running the Central Mountain High School Drama Club since 2023. During her four years in New York City, she also taught theatre for 3rd-5th grades at Harlem Children’s Zone. Ericka is thrilled to be offering this multidisciplinary experience to the community.

Teen Performing Arts Academy
Two Week Camp: Weekdays from Monday, August 12 – Friday, August 16 - Friday, August 24.
Recommended for those entering 8th Grade as of Fall of the next school year through those entering 12th Grade as of Fall of the next school year (Age through 18). Exceptions will be made for students with previous experience.
The Teen Performing Arts Academy (TPAA) Is designed to enrich, uplift, and enlighten students who are serious about the Performing Arts. The Academy is the perfect opportunity for dedicated performers to learn and hone their craft in an experience that includes professional training and mimics a professional rehearsal schedule. Students will hone their talents as actors, singers, and dancers by learning from working professional actors and directors.
The TPAA blends a wide range of master classes taught by various artists working within the professional Millbrook company with the rehearsal process for “Into the Woods. Jr.” Having classes and rehearsals side by side gives students the opportunity to use their training immediately to help them grow and enrich their performances. All master classes and rehearsals are designed to help each young performer achieve at their maximum level.
The program culminates in a public performance of “Into the Woods. Jr.” A new take on Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s groundbreaking musical fairytale about wishes and the choices we make.
Tuition: $350.00 through July 28. $375.00 July 29 through August 12. Tuition includes two complimentary tickets per registrant. Scholarships are available.

Junior's Theater Camp
One Week: Monday, July 22 - Friday, July 26
Recommended for those entering 4th Grade as of Fall of the next school year through those entering 7th Grade as of Fall of the next school year (Age 12). Exceptions will be made depending on birth date.
Whether your young actor is just starting out on stage, or a more experienced performer, the Junior’s Camp offers an enriching experience for everyone! This camp is designed to teach your young performer the foundational elements of being on stage through the rehearsal process for a musical.
Your young actor will learn projection, diction, theater vocabulary, and performance techniques while building their confidence on and off stage. The rehearsal process allows all campers to learn and grow to their individual maximum potential, regardless of prior experience.
Junior’s Camp will culminate in a performance of Explore the big blue world with this lively new stage musical based on the beloved Pixar film! Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.
Tuition: $250.00 through July 7th. $275.00 July 8th through July 22 6. Tuition includes two complimentary tickets per registrant. Scholarships are available.

Little's Theater Camp
One Week: Monday, July 29 - Fri., August 2
Recommended for those entering 1st Grade as of Fall of the next school year through those entering 3th Grade as of Fall of the next school year (Age 8).
This week-long adventure on stage is the perfect introduction to theater for young performers. All week, campers will play theater games to introduce them to the basics of performing, while learning songs and dances to show off our skills.
This process based camp allows room for new performers to explore the performing arts without the pressures of a traditional rehearsal process and show. Instead, campers will interact through theater through improvisational games, storytelling, group songs, and group dances which are carefully designed to help your little one build knowledge and confidence on stage and off.
Our immersive and gentle experience culminates in an open classroom where we invite families and friends to watch our week of singing, dancing, and games come to life center stage!
Tuition: $150.00 through July 14th. $175.00 July 15th through July 29th. . Scholarships are available.

PLEASE NOTE: As of 12/1/22, all camps and experiences are scheduled to be held in person. There are minimum and maximum enrollment limits for camps. Cancellation is possible if a minimum enrollment is not reached. Maximum enrollment will be restricted by current social distancing rules at the time of the camp.
