David Gritzner, Managing Director
David has a history with Millbrook, having previously been the Lighting Designer from 1985 – 1989, and in addition the Scenic Designer in 1987 and 1988. He rejoined Millbrook as General Manager in 2010, but then became Executive Director of the State College Community Theatre, before returning to Millbrook as General Manager in 2016. He has held a variety of corporate management positions, having been Director of Global Technology for the investment banking firm Greenhil & Co., and IT Director for investment banking firm Gleacher & Co. He also ran his own technology consulting firm, Gritzner Associates, for a number of years before deciding the theatre was where he ultimately wanted to be. David has an MFA in Lighting Design from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts, a BFA in Theatre from UCLA, and is a graduate of the Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Regional Arts Consortium.

David Leidholdt Interim Artistic Director
David is excited to return to the barn after taking a year off. He served as the Artistic Director from 2014 to 2022, producing over 100 plays and musicals. Some of his favorite productions include “Fun Home,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “To Kill a Mockingbird.” He is particularly proud of his work with the local youth, developing the highly successful Millbrook Playhouse Youth Ensemble.
